Should i wait?

I think its just best to not be objective rather more realistic.

My take on the Desire is that its a gadget first and a phone last.

Whereas apple made a phone into a gadget.

FTR I dont own and never have owned an Iphone just compared them to my Desire which I waited for since last year and cant believe the hype that still surrounds it.

Great gadget, crap phone.
Erm, surely it's the other way round, the iPhone (since its first release) has been renowned for being a poor phone, dropped calls etc.

My Desire is great as a phone.

Dropped calls are only a problem on AT&T in the US.

And a while back in this thread, someone mentioned that jailbreaking voids your warranty. It's very simple to connect to iTunes and perform a factory reset.

Someone also mentioned that rooting is a very simple process, jailbreaking is much simpler, you just download Spirit and connect your iPhone using USB, click a button and wait two minutes. It's much easier than messing around with SD cards.

But you just restore from a backup/factory reset using iTunes...

Doesn't rooting void your warranty too?
