Should we expect a release date tomorrow?

I think if there is one thing to be learned here it is that Verizon will not do anything that would make sense, such as announce a date. That being said, I do not think we will hear an announcement any time soon.

With all that has gone on regarding this release (facebook attacks, negative press, ...) I do not think that we will even hear a release date on this phone .... Just out of the blue one day some unsuspecting schmo will post on here that he actually has the phone and just picked it up at Verizon .... only to be called a liar until he proves it with pics and then all h#** will break loose because Verizon DIDN'T announce it .... I am here for the long haul and will wait as long as it takes or until something better hits the market ....

Same here dude. Same here. It's kinda like hearing about Santa Clause when you were a kid. I kinda just want to see the friggin' thing.....

I'm not sure why some people are defending Verizon (maybe they don't want to bite the hand that feeds them?). Considering they seem to always come late to the party, offering up phones renamed with a mild cosmetic tweak to make them look "All New". As a consumer, I find it a little off-putting to get hand-me-down technology that's already been available on other carriers and thus typically outdated. This is just one of the latest missteps that tends to magnify Verizon's lack of innovation with their phone offerings.

I'd agree with what you say above, but every carrier does that and it happens all the time in other industries as well. Nothing wrong with it either, innovation is pretty rare.

I think Verizons fault in this mess is their lack of communication and "you'll get it when you get it" attitude from corporate. You don't go out and build anticipation for a product and then get snooty when your customers show interest.

Don't expect it tomorrow, the weekend or Monday. I put my name on their web site for email up dates on both the iphone and the TB.
I got my notification for the OG Droid about five hours after I had purchased it from a Verizon store, so that logic is not worth much.

Verizon's always late to come out with there phones but also consider no one has a network like them and 4g will be the fastest bandwidth speeds for mobile devices yet.

Maybe with the new technology comes more hickups then we would/they would, expect.

If any other network were releasing this phone then yeah, it probably would be out by now, but definitely lacking the technology VZW's network will bring to this phone alone.

lol, that would make a great commercial for the other carriers. "If your carrier is this slow with relaying messages to you, imagine how slow their network is"

My Norton anti virus states that this site is unsafe.. Anyone else?

Norton is 'teh debil'. Any software that requires you to download some of their OTHER software to extract their software is pure concentrated evil. It's like dating a psycho girl that won't break up with you unless you go out with one of her other multiple personalities.

I'm starting to think that Verizon is slowly backpedaling from this phone, and then cancel it in a few days.

HTC Thunderbolt is over. It should be renamed HTC Vapor.

After producing all those phones that were shipped out supposedly according to HTC and all that money on ads they will just cancel the phone? The phones are already made..
