Shouldn't Mobile Data off turn off

the email syncs? Turned off the Mobile Data button in the status bar last night, but was awoken by a new email notification at about 4 AM.

Also, is there any way to turn off the battery full charged audio notification without setting the phone to silent? I use the phone as my "beeper" on call, need to hear incoming texts, but could stand not to hear the full charge alert.

Not sure about the full battery alert. Turning off mobile data has prevented my emails from coming through, not sure how one snuck in on you, though i have other settings that could have prevented my email, hmmm. You think maybe you had wifi on or something that could have snuck a message in on you?

Were you on WiFi at the time? If so, email will still come in

Also, with Mobile data Off, you might have issues with incoming SMS's.
