Help Show rssi instead of signal bars?

Hi guys, what's goin on? I have done some lengthy reading today and can't find a decent answer. Has anyone got any ideas how to make the status bar show signal strength in dBm rather than bars WITHOUT using an app? If not, is there a recommended app that adds the dBm to the status bar without killing alot of memory?

The CM7 ROM gives you the option to change it in settings.

Yea I did read about that ROM. I'm using Skaters Honeybread ROM and prefer it actually. Apparently there is a way to do it since CM7 has it lol. Now its just figuring out how. I do thank you for the reply though!
