Show Us Your X10 Homescreen...

Ok so I think I finally have a homescreen worth keeping. The setup I had before was, well, bland and somewhat boring to me (NOT Olivia.. lol) So I tinkered a bit and came up with this new setup. I usually run it with the status bar and apps button hidden unless I need them. :D

You can get 7 homescreens with ADW

when at home press MENU -> EDIT then at top of screen displays there's a + icon at either side, press one of them to add a screen to left or right of current page

hope this helps

I somehow find having 5 is too much, I prefer to have 3 (for now).

Maybe I will find 5 or 7 screens useful in the near future :D

Before its untimely death I would use all 7 screens for my phone, games one page, media and GPS apps on another and so on.

i just like 7 screens because i have alot of apps and i dont like to look through them everytime i want to start something up, but i know what page there on

I've only had my phone for a couple of weeks so I'm still playing around and organizing...

I like your little android doods holding the apps and the slide one in his lil space ship. Assume you are now rooted? If not how did you do it?

My phone is rooted, but not required. :)

1. The little Android guys holding up the apps are a theme for ADW.Launcher, the theme is called iDroid. iDroid was a free theme too.

2. The "Slide to unlock" is actually an app called Screen Suite. You can put any background you want, and put the iPhone unlock slider or change it with different Droid pics. *Note I'm using v1.2.4 and it is very buggy, got full version for free from a friend. The latest version is 2.2 I believe, so download the trial version first!

How can I make my phone like yours? I just bought xperia x10, three days back. Can you give me some tip? I don't even have a calendar in it! :(

Have a read through the whole thread. Most people are using a different launcher than the stock Sony one, so try ADW launcher for donut avaialbe from the Android Market. There are Youtube videos on ADW to give you an idea of the different functions, you can then download themes for it either free or paid. I would also download Home Switcher so you can swap between Sony Ericsson and whatever launcher you chose.

I have Jorte calendar which is a freebie I think and takes a bit of setting up. I have beautiful widgets which again is a paid for app for time and weather which many people have too, again you need to fiddle with it to get the set up/look you want. You can't go too far wrong with it, if you don't like something you can just uninstall it. There is another app called Backgrounds on the market so you can choose from thousands of wallpapers. Its endless!

Enjoy modding up your phone.

OH.......WOW!!!!
I've only just got my x10 and I thought it was a good bit of kit but now looking at these screen shots I've realised it's a feckin AMAZING piece of hardware! ! Looking at some of apps you guys and gals have got means I've got months of fun to come with my phone.
iphones?? Pah! You can keep 'em...
thanks y'all!
:)

David: It's nice to see someone so in love with their x10! ^_^

Rose: How do you like the beautiful widget? That's the widget with the HTC clock and weather widget right? >__> I'm thinking of getting that one, but I just promised myself that I was not going to pay for any apps. Lol.

I only have a couple of paid for apps, Beautiful Widget being one and I don't regret it one little bit. I love it, its very customisable, there are loads of different skins you can download for the clock and a fair few for the weather so you can mod it up to suit your taste.

I have a huge long list of apps and I think BW, Vignette camera app and Touiteur are the only paid ones. I also donated a beer to Gimpsta and Jonasl for their efforts with the HTC keyboard. I don't have a clue how to do any of the stuff the developers of these apps do and I am grateful that they are out there tinkering away to give me some amazing choices... for this reason I don't mind apps with advertising either. They have got to earn a few quid in order to encourage them to carry on the good work and keep adding to my ever growing list. In all I've probably spend less than

i dont pay for apps to be honest...if i cant find a suitable free one then i will go without.

Its not being tight or anything but the ones i try out are ok but not worth paying for...even if they are under

Does anyone know what that icon on the 3rd page beside paypal is? Looks like the phone. Someone's screen posted above also had one...

Just got my X10 a few days ago. Total noob to the android experience (bye bye blackberry!) and I'm loving this phone. My setup is nowhere near pretty, but Olivia is. ;)

powerkiter, with the iDroid theme, did you find your camera icon to be working? I don't mean the original stock icon but the droid holding the shutter icon.

P.S. I love this forum!
