Help shut down/start up problems

Having problems with my Casio G'zOne phone. I did a search and didn't find anything quite related, but then again I may have just been overwhelmed with the amount of info.

In any case, problem is twofold; when I push the button to lock the phone it shuts down.

When I try to restart it it freezes during boot. The only thing I can do it to remove the battery and try to boot again. Usually after about 4 attempts it will boot.

I checked for software up grades and everything seems current. I guess I could try a factory reset and try to "force" it to download up-to-date software.

any other suggestions?

Hi jjhustak. Welcome to Android Forums. I'm sorry to hear you are having problems.
I think you are most likely on the right track for a fix. Sometimes the easiest way to fix a problem is to clean the slate and start over. It's hard to say what's going on. It's most likely software and not hardware related. A factory reset will either fix it or you have a more serious problem. Back up what you can before you reset. After your reset... let it run a couple of days before you repopulate your market apps to make certain all is well. If you have problems after you reinstall your market apps and things again go South.. you will know something isn't playing nicely with your Commando.
