Help Shutdowns?

Anyone else dealing with random shutdowns? I have wiped the cache and performed a factory reset, but I still find that the phone will just randomly shut itself off.

HELP!

I have had it happen twice now, both times right after sending a text message.......never had that problem before the jb update.

So have I. I randomly see a sim card has been removed and the phone must restart itself. It's getting annoying really.

I figured out my issue was a faulty extended battery. Had it replaced and have had a random shutdown or reboot since.

The extended battery excuse isn't the problemo for me. I had this extended battery before the update. A good battery might I add.

I have both extended and stock batteries, and it happens with both of them. Have the stock battery in now and it just restarted after a phone call. Yesterday I had it restart at least ten times... very annoying.

I'm thinking it's a software and not a hardware issue... first it seems the phone will still be on but the screen won't turn on... like it froze. After hitting the power button a few times to try and get the screen on, it will reboot.

Also, it reboots (at least with my phone) WITHOUT decrypting the phone, like it would if I turned it on... so the reboot happens after whatever step decryption takes place at.

I read that thread, and did notice last weekend the phone shut off when I set it down a little hard on the table... but I don't think that's what is causing the reboots because, like I said above, it's not a full reboot requiring decryption as it would be if I pulled the battery and restarted.

There seems to be two distinct issues here. One, is where the phone reboots and the other is when owners find that their phone has powered itself off, or loss power and is in an OFF state until they turn it back on.

If you are having issues with reboots that was not the intent of my post.
