Help Shutting down screen

Im not sure what you call it but can you change how the screen looks when you put the phone to "sleep" using the power button?

the animation that makes it look like an old school TV shutting off? I think is awesome! Why would you want that off?

Also if you DO want it off, it should be under settings and a tab about animations. seeing as i dont have an android phone on me atm (using a cruddy black berry while i wait for my D3) i cant give exact details
