shutting down the second core (cpu related)

I noticed something while checking out the cpu section of System Tuner Pro. The second core of the cpu periodically goes offline. Is this normal for the second core to not always be running? Just curious. I mean my phone runs fine while only one core is operational.

Okay cool. I was just wondering if this was normal. I checked off the force all cpus online option in system tuner.

Its weird because I rebooted the phone and now both cores are remaining online.
