HTC DHD 8gb micro sd card is inserted and has music and app's on it but after trying to update a few app's last night i was informed that there was no micro sd card in place. I have removed and replaced it on three occasions and carried out the ubiquitous on off reset. I have also noticed that in the card storage area of settings it does not show that I have any card in place i.e. no memeory on the card .

Please can someone shed any light or do i have to purchase a new micro sd card?? Many thanks dudes!!!!!

How long have you had the SD card? Has the issue only just started (after it was working ok before)? I know that there was a period when there were a lot of fake SD cards on EBay... it sounds like you might have a problem with yours.

Thanx for a quick reply D-U-R-X but no I haven't bought it from Ebay and this is the first time I've had a problem with the card. It still won't recognise that it's inserted...perhaps anew micro SD card would solve the problem???? GRRRRR!!!

Trying a different SD card wouldn't hurt... I have had a bit of a look for the test I saw for SD cards and will post it when I find it.

The test is h2testw, although you might need a card reader if your phone isn't picking up the SD Card?

What happens when you mount the phone to your PC, are you given an option to mount it as an external drive? Does the PC pick the card?
