Ok so Im the type of person who carries their phone everywhere, yes even to the beach lol. So as you can imagine I go through phones more than the average person. What I hate about getting new phones is having to remod it and then go through and get my apps back, is there a way where I can edit a mod I enjoy the most by removing some of the apps that come with it then adding all the ones I use all the time? I keep trying to but for some reason once I try to 'install from zip' it says its not a valid update or whatever. Im pretty sure somebody else has a thread about this already but Hell I can barely keep my head up to type this right now, so Im sorry if I am repeating another thread if so just delete this one and PM the address of the other one.

Thanks in advance! :D

Hi,

well, if you use always the same phone, there is a solution, if you use different phones everytime, than you got a problem !

If you currently run CTMod, you could use Titanium backup ( from the market ) to remove unwanted apps and afterwards make a CWM ( Clockworkmode ) backup, which is stored on your SD-Card.

Or you could use Odin Repacker and do the same.....and Odin Repacker stores the files on your PC and once you get a new Prevail, you could just use Odin to get your new phone back to the state of your old ( lost or damaged ) Prevail.

PS: For 'install from zip' you need to use "APKInstaller-TU.zip" and put the .apk file you want to install inside this zip file.

Here are the links to Odin Repacker and the APKInstaller-TU :

Odin Image File Creator
ApkInstaller-TU.zip (/system app installer)

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! Ya I was using CTMod Just decided to try out 187 for a few days see how I like it. &ya I usually stick with the prevail because cost wise it isnt to bad and in my opinion with the right tweeks and what not it works just as fine as most other phones.

But again thanks for the help, I knew it was something simple I just am not fully myself today.. damn flu.
