Help signal bouncing randomly, but the dBm doesnt move much

my signal at work is about -100 dBm on average, funny thing is the bars go from 0 to 4, they just randomly bounce around every 10 seconds or so.

anyone have a solution to the bars moving? I thought the X was supposed to have better signal than the Dinc i just took back, but it looks like it doesnt, it just tries to say it does with the higher bars.

The incredible was getting between 97-103 dBm just like the Droid X.

Apparently! Have you called VZW to make sure your account is provisioned properly for the X? Have you tried a *228 update?

havent called in yet, but i tried the *228 stuff, still does it.

Mine does this my signal is usually -90 - -100 dBm but the bars dance all over the place

Ditto. From what I can see there's virtually no relation between the bars and actual numeric readings. I'll have 1 bar at -83 and 4 bars at -101. Makes zero sense.

i have the same problem my xperia x 10's signal strength is -83dBm and the signal bars are on 3 out of 4 bars (
i bought my phone from premier telecom services (pvt) Ltd in mount lavinia-sri lanka.
my advise is don't buy phones from shitty shops
