Signal strength??

how is your signal on the MyTouch Slide?? I live in west TN, and never really had a problem with Tmobile signals on previous phones, but with the MTS i rarely get more than 2 bars, at home always 1 bar...

just wondering if anyone else have this issue!!

my signal strength is weaker than on my previous phones as well. at this same location my behold2 was on hspa+ my slide gets in the low hsdpa to edge range

I get good signal when I set mine to 3G only.

It does drop to one bar when I am in the bathroom

My Behold II did not even pick up 3G in my house so the Slide is much better to me.

How do you tell if your getting hspa?

My speeds are around 5MB/s down and 700KB/s up

It's in about phone>network. Also check the tmo coverage map to see if hspa+ is even live in your area. Sounds like it is judging by you dl speed. Remember it won't say hspa+ as this phone is not a hspa+ device so it will say hsdpa or hsupa but will benefit from higher speeds 5mb would be around the max for the slide. the theoretical max is around 7mb for non hspa+ devices.
