Help signal strength

I just got the Droid. In my basement, I'm struggling to get bars, while the LG chocolate next to it has no problems. Do I have a bad Droid or is the Droid reception just not as good?

Several threads on this forum about signal/reception issues. I returned my (2) DROIDS for this issue alone.

Interesting. I have noticed that turning off Wifi greatly increases my signal strength. I turn Wifi back on, and I loose cellular signal. Anyone else seeing that relationship?
