FWIW, from what I saw in my local AT&T store, my LTE Note fluctuated upwards of 15dBm less than the display model HTC One S, which was pegged at -55dBm.
On HSPA, my T-Mobile Defy is also consistently 10 to 15dBm better "on AT&Y'all HSPA" than my Note.
I notice increased battery drain rates while at work where I avg. about -93dBm, despite the Note displaying "4 bars", vs. being at home where I see dBm levels in the 70s...LYE in Balt/DC corridor.
Given the size of the Note, I was hoping reception would not be an issue...I think there is room for improvement.
