Help Silence the camera on S3?

i have an unrooted S3 and was wondering how to silence the camera shutter?

If you have updated to 4.3, the shutter will be silenced when your phone is silenced. Before the update, that option didn't exist.

It is my understanding that this option varies by carrier. I believe Sprint has completely disabled that option.

I have Sprint and after 4.3, as long as your phone is on vibrate or me, the camera shutter will be silent.

The international s3 (UK anyway) has always been able to silence it i think.
I always thought it depended on the law in different places?

Tried both on my Note 2 & it still makes noise. :-!

Think the only way you can silence it then mate is to be rooted, find the file with the camera sound then delete or rename it.
If the note 2 is anything like the s3 though, just put your finger over the loudspeaker lol

Same here. After the 4.3 update, I can silence the camera shutter sound by lowering the volume to vibrate or mute before I open the camera app.
