Help Silent Boot

I have the "Silent Boot" app on my LG OPV and it works great. Unfortunately it does not work on my HTC EVO V. Probably has to do with the Sense system?

Anyway, I searched this forum and found several references but no solution that didn't require rooting. Is there an app available for the EVO V that does the same thing as Silent Boot? The VM boot sounds and displays are terrible...

I said the same thing. I think I lasted about a week.

You can S-OFF, root, and everything within about 30 minutes. It's not that bad. Just follow step by step.

Take a look at Android Assistant app. It has a setting for silent boot that works on my Evo.

Ok, found an app that seems to work on my EVO V. It is called "Quiet Restart". There is a trial version that I am using now. Gives you 5 boots to see if it works for you. So far, so good. It does cost .99 for the permanent one but well worth it if it continues to work. May have other features also but haven't researched yet.

The Android Assistant app seemed to have some problems according to the reviews plus a lot of ads. Didn't really need/want all the features it offers either. TEHO...
