Okay, I've been messing with this phone for a week, but I have yet to figure out how to get apps on it. The downloads are on my phone only shows ringtones--I guess. Anyone kind enough to just point me in the right direction. I'm used to loading apps on my iTouch and this doesn't seem to work the same way. Much appreciated.

Click the Market icon. The Downloads icon just points to some annoying Virgin Mobile stuff.

You can also access the Market via your PC's Web browser and have apps sent directly to your phone when you sign in with the Google account associated with your phone.

Thanks for the answers. Going to The Market was difficult to navigate. I didn't know how to find what I'm looking for. Doing it through my PC is much more comfortable. Exactly what I was looking for!
Consider searching and writting down apps of interest when browsing using your PC. Then launch "Market" on your phone and type in apps of interest.
Take your time and read a few dozen reviews. Pay ATTENTION to permissions granted when downloading new apps. As a new user myself, I stick w/ 4 or 5 stars and 2500+ downloads.
