Help Sim card bug

Hi,

I've got a problem with my just bought Samsung infuse g4.
After using it for a couple of months I decided to clear out the memory by clicking an options found in ( settings -> privacy -> personal data -> factory data reset). That ruined my phone. And here's the problem:

Sim card reader seems to be damaged. Everytime I start the phone, it's able to read it for several minutes (15 min at max) and then stops and claims that it does no longer detect a sim card inside, but once resetted it works just fine until several minutes again. I've tried changing sim cards into four different sim cards and the same problem occurs with each one of them. How can I fix this problem? Any solution posted will be appreciated and thanks in advance.

p.s I could get it fixed at a shop but I'd lose more money on fixing it than just buying a new phone.

I don't see how a factory data reset could have done anything to your SIM, but regardless, just go to AT&T and get a replacement SIM card. They'll likely give it to you for free.

P.S. For future reference, the device's memory gets cleared every time you turn it off. to clear cache memory, follow these steps:
1. From an "off" state, press and hold the volume up AND down buttons and then also press/hold the power button.
2. When the Samsung logo appears, release the power button (ciontinue pressing volume up and down).
3. Release the volume buttons when the yellow text appears.
4. Use the volume down button to highlight "delete cache data" and press the power button to execute it
5. "reboot system now" should be highlighted (if not, use volume up/down until it is) - press power button to reboot
6. DONE

It's not the sim cards that have a problem but the card reader inside the phone.
Oh and thanks for the cache clearer trick.
