Help SIM card issue with HTC?

Hello, everyone! I joined up because I had a questioned I thought you might be able to answer. I recently got a new phone, the HTC Desire 612 and I'm really enjoying it so far (mostly because it was far better then what I had originally) but had come across a phisocal issue with it. The SUN and SD card slots are located under a rubber strip on the left hand side of the phone. It's super easy to access but has a small problem. It's a bit too easy to access. My SD card slid right in and clicked into place with no issue. But I've noticed that the SIM card has no ability to stay in on its own. It can be inserted into the phone and used but cannot click into the phone seculrely. I mean to go talk to my carrier and ask them about this but figured I'd get some insight into it first. Does anyone else have this issue with this phone? Or with any other HTCs? If not, what can I do to help? If anything all.

Thank you in advance!

To me, it sounds like a bad build of the phone so if it's gonna be something that's gonna bother you, I'd get it replaced if possible

I've not used this phone, but SIMs need to stay connected for the phone to work, so if it's falling out that is wrong. According to HTC the cover should click into place, and you should have to click the SIM in to release it, so if that's not the case with yours then you should speak to your carrier.

I have the same issue. I thought it was just my phone, like a defect with creating but then I got it replaced and it happened again to my current one. I just have a tight case to keep the slot closed, orginally when I did not have the case I have it taped with clear packing tape. I can't afford to send it in and wait a month to get it replaced, cause that is how long it took the first time, Not to mention the numerous phone calls, transfers and other issues I had with the company, the told me it was just the sim card that was broken, so they sent me a new one and that didn't work so I had to call again and had to explain everyting that happened like 20 more times before they sent the new damn phone out to me. I am most likely going to get a different phone soon, only because This one has only 8gb of space and half of it is used up by stuff I don't want and CANNOT get rid of, and of course the sd card issue. I like the phone a lot but the sim card issue is really quite irritating.

Not sure if you solved the problem with yours or not, but no your not the only one out there with this issue.
