Help SIM card issue

Hi there,

I was playing a game on my Galaxy S2 when it suddenly restarted itself in-game. On restart it could no longer access my mobile network, and on taking the sim card out and putting it in again, it would not recognise the card anymore (it says 'Insert sim card' when trying to go into mobile network settings. I have tried other people's sim cards to no avail (however it did decide to randomly work again for half a day yesterday). Today I upgraded the firmware to XXKG5, but that did not work either. My sim card works perfectly fine on my other phone.

Any suggestions anyone?

Initial thoughts would have suggested a faulty sim, but as you say it works in other phones, I would try doing a factory reset on the phone. If this works, dont install that game again!

I have already tried a factory install on the phone, and in addition I have gotten rid of all games I had. I have also tried leaving the battery out for 2 hours, which didn't work either.
:(
