Help SIM card?

I am getting a used Droid 4. I am not too sure if it is coming with or without a SIM card, but aren't I supposed to keep my SIM card from my phone?

I know this is a noob question, but I have never sold a phone like this.

I would have thought that it wouldn't come with a SIM card... you'd need to put your SIM card in, as your contract is tied to that SIM
