Help SIM contacts and android market issue with 2.2.3

When I import the SIM contacts just before I make some changes to my X8 I always get my contacts as they were in my previous phone. How can I edit my contacts an save the changes in my SIM card so everytime I make an update I always get my contacts as I want?

Also, im running 2.2.3, and I am unable to install root explorer and install the android market meaning I can install any apps. I recieve a message saying "application not valid". How can install them properly?

I think that the SIM card's contact storage is quite limited. You get just a Name, Surname and a Phone number. Importing them to your phone and adding more information to each contact stores that additional information on your phone and not in your SIM card.
