Plain SIM card is stated in the Samsung Galaxy S Operator's Manual, so I would assume the Captivate will also be a regular size SIM card.

There really were only 2 reasons that apple went with the microsim. One was to mess with people and second is that because they do not let you change your battery they have to save the room for the battery.
