Can someone tell me how to disable the 3G on my Verizon Fascinate? I can disable the WiFi but can not seem to be able to figure out the toggle for the 3G.

Is your phone stock? Or you running a custom ROM?

Our IT guy has rooted it - so no its not stock.

Why do you want to disable the 3G. That takes away all the smartphone features: no email, no MMS. Just is a regular cell phone with a big touch screen

Hmm - thought I had posted this reply but return 2 days later and my reply is NOT here. Well, why do I want to disable my 3G - well there are 2 reasons : 1 since I no longer carry a pager and rely solely on my phone for contact when on call i have found myself in situations where battery charge is low and I dont have a charger available so want to preserve battery life and 2) (and maybe the most important) is that it would eliminate the bothersome ads on the game that I am addicted to. So I would really like to figure out how to toggle off the 3G.

Also - I ask again - how do I determine if there is a custom ROM installled?
