Knowing that ROM means Read Only Memory, and usually refers to a pre-programmed internal chip that's "read only", I assume that when flash programming, the programming is being done to areas of the internal memory, and not to the SD card. Is that correct?
And then by extension, backing up with CWM copies the internal memory onto the SD card, and that's what those IMG and TAR files are, sort of like disk images. Is that correct?
Thanks,
