i would like to flash purtiy. i did read the post instructions. the issue is i guess terminology. i have bootstrap and tibu. the way its written says something about clockwork? so thats what i need help with understanding. thank you.

There is a version of clockwork in bootstrap. more specifically, Clockwork Mod Recovery - which is what you need to flash the ROM(s) with.

Once you have bootstrapped your phone, you can also use ROM Manager to update to he latest CM Recovery for the BIONIC.

its the free one with 2 options. is the cw option when it restarts in recovery? also i started bs up and when i closed i had a force close the home screen. wierd.

Bootstrap basically gives you 2 options. Installing bootstrap and then booting into Recovery. Once you're in recovery you will be able to install your rom. Just make sure to follow the instructions for said rom thoroughly. There's been too many people that have had issues because they failed to read the instructions properly. The ROM itself will most likely repeat the instructions but it's a failsafe.

what i was looking for. thanks . i did download rom manager and back up my leaked updated rom. so i will try this all tonight.

Most people don't use Rom Manager to backup their data. Most do it within the recovery. Clockwork Recovery and Rom Manager don't use the same backup data. The only thing I ever do with Rom Manager is update my Clockwork Recovery is any and run Fix Permissions. Other than that everything else is done from Clockwork Recovery.

I have tried using rom manger lately and every time I make a back up it goes through the process boots back up and I look for it it is no where to be found. I am sticking with making my backups with clockwork.

well i am now a purist. and rocking xoom. i miss my scrolling email widget. makes it easy to check when im with clients
