I have been lurking around these forums for a little while now. I've seen the same thing come up over and over again so I finally decided to make a post. There are a couple of things that will help your phone run longer and smoother. First things first get the extended battery. Secondly take your app killers of the phone has a built in managing system that works just as good. Third disable 4 g I run on 3 g d all day long unless I'm doing an upload. Unless you're doing some extremely large downloading 3g D runs just as well for normal things. I know firsthand 4 g is a battery hog pen is unnecessary a lot of the time. Also make sure you turn wifi on. I have found that running with wifi pacers 800 battery even compared to 3g. I rarely ever use 4 g in if I don't have to I don't even run with 3g and I work a 12 hour shift. I work in a hospital environments of the only time should I run for jesus when I'm downloading medical patient data or whenever I'm streaming live video. Even for face to face chat I run on 3g and netflix I run on 3g without any problems.
Again I work 12 hour shifts in a hospital e r and I've found the running on wifi and 3g will save you a lot of battery also purchasing the extended battery was a great investment for me. I have managed working 12 hour shifts checking multiple text messages making significant downloads in even listening to an hour of live radio on my phone without my battery completely depleted. that includes checking my work email every 20 minutes, checking the 4 forums at least once an hour, listening to the radio are watching a movie on my lunch break, updating patient data in receiving patient information, checking traffic, reading my local news, and getting my medical news updates like journal of med. The key to this long battery life has been running on wi-fi the first day I had the phone it didn't last me 3 hours I bought the extended battery and switch to the hospitals wifi system and now I don't charge my phone on a single shift.
Remember to lower setting you stay on your internet usage the more battery life that you're going to get. Also programs that you needed in the past are no longer needed on this phone no more app killers or aftermarket third party software that's going to run your battery down. I have found that they have already added a lot of those programs to the phone you just need to look for them.
