Root Simple update to GB 602

It worked great for me too,...quick and easy! Hmmm,...I wonder if the previous update to .596 could've been done in a similar fashion?

I performed the method according to the OP, I could not accept the OTA .602 and flash SU file.

The best part was restoring data from the .596 nandroid and seeing all my old settings on the new .602! What a time saver!!
 
Started at 5:25 PM, finished completely with my phone running .602 deodexed with my apps and data restored at 6:18 PM. Not bad at all. The only thing I did differently was to run the .602 deodexer once I had the phone up and running on 6.02. After I did that and rebooted, I then restored data, rebooted again, and was good to go once I activated the phone.
