Root Simply Stunning v3.1 ESE81 Issues..

Installed this ROM in early April, and I love it and really dont want to switch..

However, I'm having issues with random reboots, and tons of FC's.

Using 2.6.29-lowV-omap1 kernel, I believe its the 1GHz kernel, and it is OC'd to 1GHz also with SetCPU.

I installed the ROM from a full wipe.

Any suggestions on how to remedy? It's done it twice this morning, and i've only been awake for not even 2 hours yet. Do I need to reinstall or install another ROM or Kernel? Will I need to wipe? I hope not :( I LOVE SS.. Would upgrading to 3.2 help?

Before jumping into a new ROM (which isn't a BAD idea). You may want to try a lower speed kernel, or a kernel that uses a standard voltage instead of lower voltage.

LV=Low Voltage
SV=Standard Voltage
IV=Increased Voltage

Using more voltage on the CPU shouldn't drain the battery too much faster (the differences between LV, SV, and IV are probably tenths of a volt).

Once you find the sweet spot as far as kernel, then upgrade the ROM when you're ready.

Thanks Mike. Stupid question, do I need to wipe to install a new kernel? Or do I just load on SD, and reboot in to recovery then monitor for a day or two?

Loaded the 1.0 MV.. We'll see how it goes. I downloaded the 1.1 MV too, might try that soon too. I went with 5 slot, since i typically only keep it 1 speed anyway.
