Help Since Update EVO Will Not See SD Card

Since I did the update last week my EVO will not see the SD card, even with Astro. I have done battery pull, several restarts...
Immediately after a restart Astro can see what is on the card. Once I try using anything that accesses the card I get a screen saying that the sd card has been removed unexpectedly, or please insert an sd card.
I don't see anyone else posting about this, am I really the only person having this issue?

This is on top of the previous issue I posted about that has still not been resolved...my stock gallery app locks up (then forcecloses) every time I try to view photos but for some reason videos are fine.

I have the same issue, did you manage to resolve it?
 
I took my phone to sprint today
-we removed sd card and placed an another phone and it worked fine
-they did a factory reset on my phone, reinstalled my sd card and it still would not work
-no insurance so I am getting a refurbished phone tomorrow. I only hope it does not have the latest update already installed when I get it.
 
Well..this may not be the same problem but I bought new a 16GB card and inserted it into my EVO and it did not see the card. My PC saw the card and the files in it but not the phone. I was doing this with the cable connected to the USB port on my PC. When I disconnected the cable, the phone recognized the card and showed the available space.

Maybe this will work?
