I had the 2.3.5 update and 3.0 sense pretty much straight away for my DS, phone has been totally fine (so I thought) and working well other than the ringtone was double playing over itself when it rang, I did a backup of all my media and wiped the phone then restarted it and WOW its all so much better, the apps run faster, the ringtone was sorted and everything is crisp and easier now, well enough to be noticible anyway.
My tip is if you have updated over the top of existing then back up media (pics music etc) and restore the phone so you have a totally clean version then load your SD back up including google stuff. (PS don't blame me if you delete stuff you aint backed up!!)
