Single-Click Multi-Tasking

Hello guys, I was just wondering if there's a way to open the task box by a single-touch instead of a long touch? An application maybe? Thank you very much in advance.

I'm guessing you could probably make a shortcut to it on one of your home pages... i'm just not sure what the task is called.

if it was an app or widget.. then you would still have to go to that screen and touch it.... making you go through a few more steps, when you are in another app.

with the hard key-long press-
you can get to it with 1-long press from any screen!

right?

Thank you guys for all your responses. For the record though, its not about being lazy but its more of like pushing the boundaries of our phones in the user customization department. I can live with a long-press no big deal but if there's a single-press then I would like that better. We all customize our phones for our own usability right? I was hoping if maybe there was an app that can map the search button into opening the task window since I don't use the search button anyway. Thanks again guys..

Oh the silly comments weren't about your post. Sorry about that... They were in response to the user who called the long press a PITA ( Pain in the A). Android is all about customization so I am sure someone with the know how will whip up an app that will do something like that.
