Help Single loss and that beeping noise

I own the Samsung Facinate and when the phone loses and regains signal it begins beeping. Currently working out of town where there is very little signal and it is driving me and my coworker crazy. How can I turn this off?

The update that came out a couple of weeks ago fixed that. Make sure you've gotten it. First, make sure your WiFi is turned off. Then press your menu softkey, go to settings, about phone, system updates and press Check new.

I think you want your Firmware version to read 2.1- update 1
Broadband version ends V.DI01

(if that is wrong, someone please correct me)
