Sirius/XM 2.2 Now Out!

Hooray....I have been extremely disappointed that Froyo broke this app. I use it pretty much all day during work and it has been useless since Froyo.

Just downloaded it and was able to listen to about 5 minutes of audio then nothing. No sound... tried switching channels and still nothing. Had to exit app then go back in. Seems like there is still issues.

That's rather strange. I having been using it non-stop since I downloaded the update (about an hour ago) and it is working flawlessly. I have even changed channels without issue.

Worked fine here too. Does seem like the volume is lower though. Anyone else think that?

I have my phone hooked up to a couple of powered computer speakers. I did notice that when I switched from "Mixzing" to "Sirius/XM" the volume was lower. Had to raise it slightly. No biggie...just glad it's working again.

I only wish that they would have the Howard Channels. I would then purchase it. But with the possiblity of him leaving in the next couple of months, I'll wait and see what happens.

Glad to hear they released a fix for it though.

Sorry jumped the gun. I uninstalled then reinstalled and all is great now. I guess I was assuming the worst because of their track record with this update.

How does this app work? Do you pay once to download it, or is it a monthly charge? Thanks.

It is a free download. There is a charge for the service (it is free with a Premium Sirius/XM Online subscription otherwise requries Sirius Internet Radio subscription). They also have a free 30-day trial for the subscription.

does anyone know if the 7 day trial automatically bills you or does it cancel out and let you start it up? I always forget to cancel these things....

I have two xm accounts already and don't know if I want to have it on the phone also?

I guess while I'm asking does anyone use it on a motorcycle? I get a lot of drop outs on my Onyx on the bike, I wonder if this would be better in areas with alot of trees.

thanks

My Rock channels were there, but now that I've uninstalled & installed the new app, all these channels are missing . . . . ???
Anyone else?

Update: Turns out I had a poor data signal and when the app installed it missed all the rock channels . . . So I later installed, reinstalled & everything works perfectly!

I installed the app, opened it and signed up for the 7n day free trial. listened. all is well.

but where is the APP/Widget at so i can add it on my homepage screen?????

whats it under????

It doesn't pull the data from the Sirius satellites, but from the net, so, as long as you have 3G or Wifi, you'll have Sirius.

I dont know if anyone else had this problem, but I use this alot in my car because I have an AUX jack and there used to be this hissing sound when using this app. It is now gone and I am very glad.

I am through Sirius. I am guessing it's identical whether you were originally Sirius or XM.

It is under Applications. Strangely, it is listed as "Online." So, look in the list under the letter "O." You'll see the Sirius/XM logo.
