Ok guys, I have this working so I'm going to show you some screenshots to hopefully get you all pointed in the right direction.

The first thing you need to do is install and setup SiriusXMStreamer and Orb. Here is how mine is setup...

Thank you sooo much for this. I've been following this thread and once I saw your post, I gave it a shot. Works perfectly. I use A online player to play the streams on my droid. I even made a bookmark shortcut on my desktop that goes directly to my sirius channels. Nice work

Thank you endless for your work.. I've read the thread, and Dled ur app, and Tversity. I'm not sure what my next steps would be. How do i get it on my phone? also would i need to be connected to my network in order for the stream to work on the phone? thanks

Honestly, there's no need for this kind of app any more. Sirius XM has their own app that they put out and support.

I want to use this to listen to howard Stern, which is not avialable on thier app. They are missing a ton of channels.

I have successfully configured SiriusXMStreamer and I am able to hear Howard 100 from it. I have been reading all of this and playing with Orb for about 3 hours now and I am getting no where.. When I went to my public page and clicked on add, the only thing that showed up under audio was my shared music. The pictures that were listed in the guide above don't work anymore. Does anyone actually have a guide to setup Orb? I am lost. Thanks.

In hopes of someone finding this who can help me, I'm going to post everything I've done with the streamer and orb so far, in order, Only on my computer, as I haven't made it to my phone yet.

First step, I installed siriusxmstreamer and orb. I also went into my router/firewall and setup port forwarding for port 51710 as tcp and udp for my local ip address (192.168.x.x)

I then setup the siriusxmstreamer and the orb client to look like it should according to the developer TheEndless above as far as I can tell. I also use all caps to login to the siriusxmstreamer which the developer informed me of. Here is my configuration of siriusxmstreamer and orb client:

I then logged into the orb website and under settings i set the general options to how I thought it should be, here's what I've got so far for the general tab:

I then chose the drop down for audio options and here is how it is setup:

I then went under the open applications drop down on the orb website and selected audio. Heres how it looks:

I then went to my public profile and added the media, here's how it looks.

I then tried to play the media, from my pc, and the player loads but when i press play it just keeps trying to connect. Here's what its doing:

Any help would be appreciated. I must be missing something because the actual stream isnt playing as I stated just above. Thanks.

I'm not sure what sent you down the path you went, but I don't think any of the settings you configured are necessary, or even related to how you need to get SiriusXMStreamer working with Orb.

It should be much much simpler than that... I can't do the screenshots, but hopefully I can explain it well enough:

• Make sure SiriusXMStreamer is running (preferably on the same machine you have Orb Caster installed on)
• Log into Orb
• Select Open Application -> Audio
• In the dropdown on the left, make sure "Music Services" is selected
• In the tree below that, select Music Services -> Favorite Channels
• In the menubar at the top, choose "Add Custom"
• In the dialog that opens
  • Enter the name of the XM channel you want to add for the Name field
  • Enter the SiriusXMStreamer MMS URL for that channel (ex. mms://192.168.1.100:51710/xm?channel=100) in the Path field
  • Click OK

You should now see a new channel in your Favorites channel list. That channel should, in theory, now be playable on any devices that can talk to Orb.

I have looked up these suggestions...I get the sirius XM player for windows & then i go to orb.com but the orb seems to be a device I have to purchase for $79-$99 to stream this to my phone? as well as the orb for droid app for $9.99....and all this is on top of my subscription to sirius??? Please help i just need to get howard onto the droid 3 somehow

Isn't the player on the website flash you cant just use the browser and load it?
