Site optimism for higher resolution screens

Almost every one has ditched those 800x600
res monitors and the site operates with optimism for the same !
like in XDA the page automatically utilises the full width of screen available
or least some thing better for the site being optimized for higher resolution screens ....

Not a expert but may be that be more comfortable on the forums !

Well, to make that happen comfortably a number of things would have to be fixed that have had their width set in pixels - and effort I don't see happening to be honest. I do wish it were fluid as I use 22 inch screens. I am okay with the fixed width though.

 

[Frisco]

I really don't like reading on a wide page with full resolution. This set up here at AF is very comfortable. The blue on the sides is easy on the eyes, and no back and forth head/eye movement to read through lines. XDA and others like that just don't seem as .. well, "comfortable" is a good word for it.
