I just cant cope with Siyah any more with all the alpha, beta and rc releases.
And I dont think you get too much benefit from it unless your a serious uv/oc junkie, which I certainly am not.
I've heard that v2.0 is not getting especially favourable reviews in terms of both battery life and stability. Having said this, my battery drain was only 2% last night.
I'm back on Ninph 2.0.5 for the time being. I may give Siyah another go in a week or two after I've installed both of the imminent CheckROM Revolution, and DlevROM3 ROMs.
Be interesting to see what my battery drain is over the next few nights now with Nimph.
Major problem with 2rc. It wouldn't let me flash anything. I tried recovery, cwm app and even darkysRom tool but every time I got an error message. I couldn't even restore backups. In the end I had to flash a kernel with Odin. Not the end of the world but bloody annoying.
I've got some strange weirdness going on here too. I just tried a backup via CWM.... no problems reported, completed normally, handset rebooted etc. I then went into CWM to test restore and the backup isn't there! "Strange" I thought and had a search. Lo and behold, I've got another Clockworkmod folder in /sdcard/external_sd with this (and several other) backup in it! Lord knows how, as neither CWM or ROM Manager have options to specify a location afaict.
edit: copied backup files to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backups and after thinning them out (a dozen nandroids take up a LOT of disk space) tried a restore. This worked fine also, although I did notice a "Checking SD card marker.... no SD card marker found" warning in the restore log display. I checked in recovery and as suspected 5.0.2.6 can't access /external_sd. So how the hell did it write a bloomin' backup there ten minutes earlier?????
