Help Sizing wallpaper correctly- Help!

Hello,
I tried to look through the forums for an answer to my question, but I couldn't find anything.
I have sent a few photos to my phone to use as wallpapers, but when I try to use the photos they are made way too big. I don't understand why the photo looks great when I'm viewing it in the gallery, but when try to set it as a wallpaper it only takes one block of the photo and zooms in. Is there anything I can do to stop it from zooming in so much? I tried a free wallpaper app, chose a photo, and it looked amazing. But still, I want to be able to use whichever pictures I want.

I use an app called dodol Wallpaper Maker Just open it up and select "Make wallpaper" at the top and then "Make whole image as wallpaper" then select either your gallery or a file manager on the pop screen and select the pic and press "set as wall paper" and it'll make the whole image the wallpaper with out zooming/cropping it
