I don't click web links but i googled it and read one of the matching search results.
I don't know what to think about it really but thanks for the information, and I don't know how I would feel about it if I actually used those applications.
I've seen quite a few updates to Applications which had fixes to things which didn't affect me, which actually introduced bugs into the code, so I decided to adopt a policy of never updating programs which just had bug fixes or new functionality which I didn't care for. This saves me from actually having to revert to a previous version of an application using Titanium Backup, which if you aren't rooted you don't have anyway.
If an update is ready which doesn't have a changeling in the description I don't update those applications either. Google Chrome had an update which introduced "experimental" https features, something to do with H.264 encoding or something similar, so I decided to blacklist it from ever updating as I feel experimental features should only be included in Google Chrome Beta, not the stable application.
All of these actions have helped to prevent loss of functionality and potential bugs or potentially hacked applications from harming my Android device before the hacks have been discovered.
In fact, regarding the updates of applications, I would apply this advice to any operating system you are using if you're using more than just Android, as some application reviews I've seen of other operating system app stores after updates have been applied have also been unfavourable.
If it's not broken don't fix it.
