sky go on ics working for me now

Hi Kieth.

Could you give a few more details please? IE; -

1. Which version of ICS - 4.0.3, I presume?
2. What is your CSC please?
3. Are you rooted?
4. Do you have the normal SkyGo app from the Play Store or one of the "test" apps over at XDA
5. If you are rooted please inform which kernal you use and if you use Voodoo to hide your root.

Since I upgraded to ICS mine too is working - I was previously rooted but now I am not and I am informed by XDA that the reason I have still got SkyGo working is that I am still using one of the test apps - version 2 or 3, I forget which.

I noticed a new update for SkyGo on the Play Store yesterday but have refrained from updating in case Sky haven't yet upgraded their app to cover ICS SGS2 phones, which I was informed, whilst in the pipe-line, may take ages yet.

I just read this thread, and thought I'd better check.

My Sky Go is also now working (it wasn't working when I checked it last a few weeks ago - after updating to ICS).

I'm standard Vodafone ICS, not rooted. 4.03.

1 - Yes
2 - No idea what this is. It's a UK unlocked model, if that helps.
3 - not rooted.
4 - just the one from the play store
5 - not rooted.

Cheers,

Keith.

**UPDATE**

I uninstalled my test skygo app, I installed official skygo app from market,

I can confirm that the official skygo app is working with ICS, Im also rooted so for this to work you need to install and use the voodoo rootkeeper app.

FYI, anyone with the test app, it won't be overwritten if you chose to update via play store, it comes up with an error, so to get the latest skygo app from the store you will need to uninstall the test app first.

This is good to hear - thanks. And yes the left hand doesn't seem to know what the right one is doing over at Sky does it lol! There doesn't appear to any answer to this over at XDA either.

I will postpone uninstalling and replacing with the Official SkyGo app until after this evening's Manchester Derby - Come On You Blues !!!

Are you still seeing SkyGo working? It worked for me before ICS, then stopped working. Then started working last week. No won't work again - says "Unsupported Device".

Hi there.

It's not working for me again: "Sorry, Sky Go is not currently supported on this device".

Come on Sky, make up your minds!
