Root Sky Go...

....So it's finally out. I've waited a long time for Sky Go....

BUT...it isn't supported on rooted devices (much like renting movies from the market isn't either...). Incredibly frustrating.

Is there a reliable work-around these restrictions (bar un-rooting!) - I tried some app to pretend my phone wasn't rooted, but it didn't work for me.

Anyone any ideas?

At what stage does it fail for rooted devices? I only ask because I'm rooted and have it installed, i've just not been able physically watch anything because I'm in such a poor connection area (and I'm debating which device to remove... 2 just isn't enough)

I have been able to sign in no problem, but the only channel I can watch is sky news. Every other channel hangs when buffering. You get an error alert flash up but it is gone before you can read it.

Has anybody had any luck with sky go on rooted Desire? According to XDA Samsung users have had a break through by using stock kernel on custom roms and hiding root via OTA rootkeeper found on the market! It seems to have done the trick for them!

So far HTC (all variants) have been left behind which is rather frustrating at the moment! There is one way to get sky go working thought.. But some of you wont like this! You'll have to revert back to stock rom in order to get it working which I refuse to do so! So the wait continues!

Dan aka SUroot didnt HTC release a cut down version of GB rom? Reckon we could use the kernel of that rom to get sky go working on our phones?
