Sky news apps- battery killer?

Hi relative newbie with HTC Desire just wondering whether anyone else having problems with the official SKY news app?

Had it installed over the last few days and it surely can't be coincidence that my battery life seems to be suffering.

I have only got the app showing on one of my screens and not the widget. On the phone i have got Backround sync off and wi fi is off. Within the actual SKY app settings i have Background Update Interval set to Never.

Am i missing something obvious or are their known issues with this app?

Download spare parts and check the partial wake usage. This should show if an app (and which) is keeping your phone from sleeping.

I remember installing this app when I first got my phone last April. It was chewing through my data allowance so can only assume it does the same with the battery. Never checked as it was uninstalled so quickly.

Just noticed something strange. Within the app settings I had unchecked the Collect Data and set the Background Interval to Never. However, been back in few times and they have both reset. The data is checked and the interval is back to the default option of 1 hour. Why is this happening!

I had a similar issue and I also thought it was using a lot of space on my phones internal memory (even though it was installed to the SD card).
Uninstalled...

The last time I had the Sky News app on my phone it chewed through my battery aswell, this was a good 7 months ago though.
