Skype app for the DHD

Hello everyone! can anybody teach me how to make video calls in skype? I just finished downloading the Skype app in the market and as im trying it out with my phone adn my laptop it seems that i cant use the video chat only voice chat. Can anybody teach me please? Thanks!

Could it be the fact that there's no front facing camera?
I don't use skype, just a thought.

The Android Skype app doesn't have video calling. Bit stupid really as the Nokia version does.

Maybe they'll add Video to the Android version later on, when there are more Android phones with Front cameras

Once you realize this, dont forget to remove Skype as it drains your battery pretty quick. (unless you wanna keep force stop-ing it)

I have Skype install and it is not in my running services so it is not using any battery. I think that you need to log out and only log in when you are going to use it.

it could be handy to make cheep voice calls, you pay skype rather than your mobile network, providing you have a good data plan.

and if you are travelling abroad you can connect to a WIFI and make cheap voice calls too with out paying roaming charges.

that is the theory, i havent tried it yet!

Also ensure that skype isn't in your list of accounts to sync either or if it is disable auto sync and just sync everything on demand. It will likely kill your battery if it is always waiting and checking for incoming skype calls.
