Skype is now working with VIDEO on SGS11.

Got the Sideload Wonder Machine and APK, but it doesn't find the phone. S2 is in debugging mode, all else appears correct. What am I doing wrong? Gives me an error message, says device not found, and when I troubleshoot and test USB driver status, it shows no device attached.

just loaded it and it works with video to my PC, not tried anything else yet.
I will put it on my wife's sgs1 and try it.

Brilliant! Finally! Works well and great quality video between the sgs2 and a computer in a different country even when driving around town. No need to resort to vtok anymore!
 
Not working for me :confused:// how do i put the video on? SGS2..Btw i downloaded it and it said itll replace the current one.Am i supposed to delete the old one first?

Try by stopping debug mode, connect phone to PC and copy to SD card, disconnect from PC open your file explorer find the APK and load it.
It should now work.

I also copied it to my wife's SGS and it worked.

Thanks a bunch, got it to work after following your suggestions. Transferred it while in USB mode.
 
Slightly annoyingly, I am being prompted to install the upgraded version that doesn't work on the SGS2 so I shall no longer just be able to tap on Update all because that would presumably overwrite the hacked version, which works perfectly on my phone.
 
Got it on my phone, and installed (using file browser). It offers to "Replace application". All good so far. Say "OK" and "Install".

It says "Installing, then comes up with "Application not installed" with a green tick next to it.

I think it's still running the old skype?? I can't see any video options when I call a PC user.

Any ideas?
 
Excuse the paranoia.. I'm a new andriod user.

What is the chance of a file like this being infected? I'm nervous about disabling the trusted apps button.

Sorry if i am being dense/newbie - but i have got the .apk on the phone but cannot locate it to load/run - which file browser do you use?

Remove the old version, do not install on top of old version
