Skype ringing on phone when dialed on pc

I have skype on my pc and also on my DHD . When someone dials me on my PC it also rings and vibrates on the phone and i get a notification icon on the phone also .

I went into applications and clicked on skype and " stop " but that doesn't seem to work .
How do i stop skype running on my phone when it's not in use ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Same thing happens when you have the same account running on 2 PC's - the only thing you can do is to close the process on Android when you're home.

How do i do that exactly ? I clicked on menu / settings / applications / running services then clicked on Skype . It comes up with a box saying " stop service " , i clicked on " stop " thinking that closed down Skype, but obviously not .

I want to be able to use Skype when i'm away from my pc , but like ya say , when i'm home i only want to use my skype account on my pc , not my phone .

To fully sign out of Skype on your phone you need to go to the My Info tab, click on your status (or on menu) and select sign out!

While you're in Skype, go to menu, settings and deselect both start up and sign in automatically to stop it starting up when you turn your phone on!
