Help Skype (with Video)

Is there no working video with Skype? I tried a few times today and I can never see the person nor can they see me.

Not phone...this is for the Acer Iconia A500 forum.

You need to go into skyoe settings and enable video -

I can also attest that Skype video works. I did a Skype video chat not less than 15 minutes ago on my A500.

Weird....my video is selected. Are you running Honeycomb 3.2? I see myself before the person picks up...then as soon as they do the video goes away.

Gotta ask: do they support video on their end? You might want to try with someone different just to see if you narrow down the problem.

Yes video works for other apps, and is listed (from what I have read) as supported by Skype.

I believe he meant that you should try a different contact on Skype. Perhaps that contact can't receive video for some reason. If you have a laptop with a webcam, set up Skype on it and call yourself.

I was the other contact. I was testing from the Tablet to my Macbook Pro. I also attempted with family who we regularly skype with from computer to computer...as well as from tablet to iPad. I feel the problem is with skype.

The fact is that others on this tablet (3.2?) DO have it working...so this issue is somewhere else i presume then.

I have tried both the most recent version from the market, and 2.5.0.108. In both cases the enable video checkbox is simply missing from the settings.
