Just downloaded Skype and tried to do a video call with my wife. There's a problem with it. On my side it says video is not on to tap the icon to turn it on. It does nothing still just a black screen on the bottom right corner and keep getting a message saying my video is off. Anyone else that uses Skype have this problem.

1st - check if you both have the latest version of the app.
2nd - about two-three versions ago, Skype decided to that you absolutely have to use 2 way video even if you don't want/need to. So your wife has to send you video as well for her to be able to see you.

I just migrated to the Nexus 4 from my Galaxy Nexus. Both devices are stock.

Using Skype on the GN provided me the option of switching the video I sent from the front camera to the rear camera...it was an on-screen camera

On my new N4, though, the same option does NOT swap the video...it only re-arranges the on-screen windows.

Anyone else see this difference? Is this a new Skype thing?

thanks in advance for the input.
