I don't know if the Note 2 has a built in assistant but I recently downloaded skyvi in a hope this would suffice.

Problem I have is everytime I try it I get the message Sorry your device cannot recignize voices and above this it says Mic Off. Doesn't matter if I press the manual mic or not. I cannot seem to get it to work

Hi

The note 2 usually comes with Samsung s-voice - double press menu button

And

Google now - long press the menu button from home screen

You should not need a 3rd party app

I got the S=Voice on but when I long press the menu button all I get is a vertical list of apps, like a scrolling menu. Where else can I find google now? Having searched play I cannot find it. Thanks pal

Hi

From a home screen, long press the menu button, the one on the left, not the home button ( in the middle)

In menu button
Manage apps
All tab (at the top)
Its listed as Google search but the latest version is Google now. Google now can be enabled by opening Google search and choosing the option in settings within search.
