Hey guys, I downloaded Slacker Radio and then figured out I didn't really want it, but now it won't let me uninstall it. Anyone know how to do that on a droid phone? Thanks for your help.
 
When I go into Manage Applications and pull up Slacker Radio, the Uninstall button is not highlighted. Pressing it doesn't have any effect.

How would I use the market app to remove the item?

If you go into the market app and search for the same app, you should see an indication that it's already installed, and so instead of an install option you should an "open" option and an "uninstall" option, like this.

Actually, that 'should' be the case... however, many people including myself are experiencing a sneaky problem where Slacker does not appear in the list of applications to manage or uninstall OR in the market list of installed applications. Yet it does appear as an application on the screen and can be run.

I just tried myself & have the same problem. I even tried appmonster, & it doesn't show up there either. Has anyone emailed them to see what's going on?
 
@mhstahly: which version of android do you have? I have froyo(2.2). Under "manage applications" instead of browsing the "installed" list tap the "all" tab & you should find it. If you have anything earlier than 2.1 this maybe different. Good luck.
 
If your phone is rooted you can use an app like Titanium Backup to uninstall.

Another option if nothing else is working. Install LauncherPro. Then press your home button and select launcher pro. Open the app drawer, hold on the slacker icon like you would to put it on your homescreen, but hold it over the trash can on the bottom of the screen until it turns red. That will uninstall it, just one of the many features of LauncherPro. Then you can uninstall LauncherPro if for some reason you don't want to keep it.
 
Hmmm, never had problems uninstalling slacker... Is it running, or do you have a widget up? You may need to remove the widget and force stop it before you can uninstall.
 
On my Android device, when your on your home page and the Slacker logo is there, simply press on it and drag it to the trash can on the right.... Gone...
